A couple of days ago a lovely follower commented on my giveaway post to be entered....and they wrote at the end of the comment...'p.s. the little heart thing on the side is annoying when trying to comment'
She was talking about that little red heart that sparkles on the bottom left hand corner of my page. Here's a screen shot of what my page looks like when I view it and where the heart is:
I found that kind of odd as whenever I look at my page the heart is always well out of the way of any writing and comment box too....however once I did look at my blog on someone else's computer and the heart was overlapping onto the text and was annoying lol.
Soo....I want you guys to tell me.... is the heart on the side bar and out of the way of everything like in the screen shot i've shown....or is it sticking out on top of my posts and being annoying??
I'd love to hear from you so I can do something about it....and if it is kinda in the way i'l just get rid of it.
Sorry about this weird post lol I just need to know why my blog looks one way on my comp yet completely different on someone else's screen!

At my laptop it's on the side bar, so I don't have any problems with it!

ReplyDeleteit's in the corner for me but there isn't quite so much background space on the sides of the blog as there is in your screenshot, so it is closer to the comments.
ReplyDeleteif that person had their screen zoomed in, the heart doesn't move and could block the comments.
you can see this by pressing ctrl and scrolling the ball on your mouse up or down. (or if you use a laptop you can see it by holding ctrl and scrolling with your touchpad as you normally would)

ReplyDeleteBecause I need new glasses, I keep my browser zoomed to 125%, and the heart does show up over the text. I just have to scroll more in order to get it off the comment box.

No problem but I have a wide screen laptop... weird how different browsers display all our blogs differently! You never know until you ask or someone tells you lol :)

Lol i won't be removing it and for those of you who are having problems with it, perhaps try and zoom out a little, like how rebecca has said.

The heart does overlap the text for me - but it really doesn't bother me in the slightest!
ReplyDeleteAlso, it doesn't get in the way of commenting, because if I just scroll slightly further, it's sat underneath the comment box instead of on top of it.
