Hey peeps!
Hope your all well =] I had a great day yesterday at the wedding. The bride looked STUNNING and the groom was gorgeous! They made such a beautiful couple =] The weather wasn't too good... rained the whole day lol but oh well!
Anyway today i'm going to be showing you a mani which I'm in love with! It combines some of my fave things together and I just LOVE it! Blue polish.... dark vampy shades..... matte topcoat..... edgy style =]
So here it is:
This design was of course inspired by the amazing Erika =] You can see her version of this HERE
I used my new Bourjois Bleu Mystérieux polish as the base colour waited for it to dry, which didn't take long at all! Then I cut out a load of spiky scotch tape pieces and stuck them onto my nails one by one and used Rimmels Matte topcoat to paint the exposed side of my nails. This was the result =]
The polish in these pictures looks very black but its not! In real life you can tell its blue but for some reason my camera just didn't want to show it. Here's a bottle pic just to show that its really a very dark navy blue colour =)
Ok guys thats all for today. Lemme know what you think =)

it´s perfect..i love the combo of matte and shinny :) you did a great job ;)
I can never make the matte top coats show up enough when I try to do a tape mani with it :( maybe I should give the Rimmel one a try.
Hx

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!
I like it! Matte manicures like this always look amazing, especially using dark colours :-)
Whoa, this is super cool!
Really good, I like it.
First off, I am a very detail oriented person but I just cannot imagine cutting that design into scotch tape, it must of taken awhile? And for two, when you were done and your nails dried, did you remove the tape from your nails, or keep it on there???
This looks great!! Fantastic job;D
Thanks ya'll! =]]]]
@Nail Newbie: Oh thats weird... I didn't know some mattes don't work too well. I have a Claire's one as well and that works great too =] Maybe they show up more over dark colours?
@Little Miss Sparkles: Aw thanks! And i'm good thank you! Hope you are too? =)
@Miss Felicity: Um nope it didn't take long at all. Its not that difficult... just a little patience is needed because you need to cut out tiny 'cones' one by one.
And this is the order I did my nails:
- Paint them in base colour and let dry
- Attach tape to nail so half nail is covered and half is exposed
- Paint on matte topcoat on exposed half of nail
- Remove tape immediately after painting
Hope that helped?

I am digging this!
Very nice. Should have taken ages to cut the tap so well:).
About my post
The Hd powder I think is too expensive for the product size. So I did not try it. I also don't mind shimmer as long as it's not glitter on makeup (glitter nail polishes I love them) :). Hum.... if the blush is better as a highlight I think I skip because I already have a highlighter that I love :)
