I'm sooo excited to be sharing with you all this super amazing find which seemed too good to be true!!
Its a GIANT konad-esque stamping nail art plate!!! =)
Now for the too good to be true part..... It cost less than twenty quid!!! =O Plus free shipping!!! =O =O =O
Ok people... I need to breathe lol!
For those of you who don't know why i'm dying over this....its because basically a real Konad giant stamping plate will cost you about £109 (http://www.blushcosmetics.com/nail-art/prod_3832.html). Although that is for real Konad, so expensive is expected, however, a Fauxnad giant image plate will still cost you a lot... around £75 (http://www.moyou.co.uk/index.php/nail-art-decoration-sets/nail-art-design-image-plates-b.html)
So er.... how on earth did I manage to get my hands on a giant plate for about £18??!!!
Well, you may or may not have heard of the site DH Gate, which is a Chinese wholesale website. They sell awesome things such as make-up (famous and expensive brands too), electronics, and um anything else you can think of, for dirt cheap prices. Most of the time though they sell items in huge bundles and so the price of one thing, eg. a MAC lipstick, could be about 50 pence, but you must buy the whole lot of say, 100 lipsticks, and pay the big bundle price in order to get it for that cheap price.
So it's not ideal for simple internet shopping lol!
But....I was surprised when I stumbled across a seller on DH Gate selling this giant image plate as a single item and not a lot! At first I was wary of buying it since the seller was brand new and did not have any feedback at all... but eventually after days of thinking it over I decided that I really really wanted it and so went ahead and bought it =)
And damn i'm so glad I did!!! =P
For the price I paid I wouldn't have minded if it came bent and unusable (which mind you it didn't!) It was extremely well packaged and arrived quickly.
These are pictures that I tried to take of it. It was sooo difficult trying to capture a decent photo since its like a giant mirror and kept reflecting things off it making it impossible to see the patterns! (Please enlarge images to view in detail)
The plate was sealed with a blue film which has to be peeled off before use. The metal image plate is also glued onto a dark blue plastic board which makes it easier to handle and avoid cutting yourself as it has rounded corners.
And here's the plate in full, again =)
These were my attempts at trying to capture close-ups of the fabulous designs on this plate =) Most of the patterns are exactly like ones that Konad produces so its amazing that I can get Konad designs without the hefty price tag!
Overall I am over the moon with this purchase and would definitely recommend this plate to everybody =)
The only negative thing that I can say about this image plate is that my fave Konad plate, M57, the one with the zebra, leopard and net design, is featured on this giant plate, however its wayyy too small!! ='( It's smaller than the Bundle Monster designs so it'l never ever fit on my nails! the leopard print I can kind of deal with, by double stamping, but the zebra print is a waste =(
Anyway thats the only negative I have and i'm still very happy with this plate =) I can't wait to play around with it and create new mani's =)

What do you guys think? Amazing product or can you recommend something even better??
I was not paid to review this product and neither was I given it for review. This product was purchased by me and my honest views are expressed.

OMG I'm soooo jealous!! This plate really doesn't fit your blog's name, ha ha. :-)
hmmmm, this seems interesting! are the other full nail images the same size as konad? i would consider getting it if they are!
you should also do a stamping test of a bunch of random images to make sure it works good!!
please and thanks :)
AHHH!!! I wanna kiss you for posting this!! I MUST BUY ONE!!!! Thanks so much for sharing!!
OMG! Sara....That sounds like a bargain to me :D I bet you couldn't quite believe the price when you saw it. Looking forward to seeing what each of them comes out like...I want one lol!!! :D
xxx
@TheNailAddict: HAHA! Lol how true!!! =P
@rebecca: Ok I'm not sure as I don't own a konad plate so can't make comparisons...however I compared to Bundle Monster and they are def larger than them. The images fit on all my nails including thumbs perfectly. I think they are large enough but perhaps not as large as konad.
And of course i'l def do a stamping swatch session lol!! I'l post it as soon as I can =) I have however done 2 full manis with images from this plate that I havn't posted yet but will do very soon. They came out brilliantly.
@Prettyfulz: LOL! And no problems...I want every1 to know about this since its such an awesome bargain!!
@Little Miss Sparkles: Haha no I really couldn't!! Thats why I was so unsure at first if I should buy it or not!! And if you do decide to get it lemme know!! =D

Ohhhhhhhh you are going to have fun with this! I recently ordered a set of 25 image plates from amazon.com so I don't think I can quite justify another image plate purchase just yet :-(
wow, love this, great find and a fantastic bargain :-) xx
thanks for the answer and thanks for following!
you should stamp a full nail image from this plate next to a bundle monster one on some paper! that will give us all an idea how much bigger they are :)
even though 6 out of the 7 koand plates i own are on this big plate, i still want it for the ones i don't have!!! hahaha! (obsessed.)
thats a gigantic plate!!!!! OMG, cant wait to see the designs!!
Wow that's a big plate! Awesome, there are some nice designs on it!
Wow, look at all those designs! Have fun with it--looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
That is amazing what a great buy. By the way the newspaper nails with the nail polish remover method,( i did not try it yet)the process is different. I saw a tutorial that explain more or less that You paint your nail with a colour you like(better cream light colour ) and with a cotton bud with nail polish remover you pat it on the nail very fast because if you do it too long the colour will come out. And them you apply the newspaper etc.I did not try it yet but when i do it i let you know if it works.
Hi!
Do you need the special varnish to stamp or can you use regular one?
Thanks everyone!
@Beauty Shades: Oh I see, ok thanks for letting me know!
@Les Petites Choses: Hey =] I actually don't own any special polishes! So I use regular ones... but not every regular polish works so you have to be careful with which ones you use.
They need to be opaque and a cream or metallic formula so the image shows up perfectly.
Hope that helps?
helloe, this is such a great bargain!! awesome, i was wondering how they turned out. because i bought some fauxnad, but never could get the designs perfect. maybe it is also related with the stamper. but i feel like some designs are not just deep enough, how about this one?
many thanks =)
Hey! I saw dis huge plate on ur blog and decided to buy it, but am disappointed cus the regular nail polish ive used DIDNT WORK ( I luv the designs n dont want the plate 2 go 2 waste just like dat :(
Wat am i doing wrong? does it need sum type of special nail polish?
Plsssss reply,
Thanks.
@kaderkismet: Hey! hehe yepp and i'm so glad I shared it with you =] The designs have turned out AWESOME! Lol i'v done a quite a few mani's with this plate and shown them on my blog =] The patters and engraved just right and every design iv tried so far has turned out literally perfect =] I use a fauxnad stamper too, and its fine. It may be the polish your using that isn't helping too much? Use thick, opaque polishes.
@groovynelly: Hello! Sorry for the late reply, i'v been away on holiday! Anyway wow i'm so glad my review helped you =] But oh nooo I'm sorry to hear that =(
Hmmm... let me know what polishes you'v tried so far, and i'l let you know if they are ok to use or not. I know that the kind of regular polishes which work well for stamping are thicker, opaque, metallic ones rather than thinner, sheer formulas.
I don't own any special polishes so all the ones I use are regular ones and they work fine =] I think you just need to try out a load of different ones to see which ones work best for you =]
Let me know if I helped =] And don't give up on the plate! Its too cool lol =P
